PESHAWAR: The National Centre of Excellence in Geology (NCEG) and the Center of Excellence in Water Resources Engineering (CEWRE) have signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding to establish a comprehensive framework for scientific and academic collaboration. This strategic partnership unites two premier institutions to address critical national challenges in water resources, environmental sustainability, and geological sciences. The primary objective is to leverage their combined expertise to foster innovation, drive interdisciplinary research, and develop sustainable solutions, significantly enhancing the academic and research capabilities of both. The collaboration will focus on a wide range of cooperative activities. These include joint research projects in water resources engineering, geology, geospatial sciences, environmental geosciences, and geophysics. Both institutions will facilitate the exchange of faculty members, researchers, and students to promote knowledge sharing and capacity building. The agreement also provides for mutual access to state-of-the-art laboratories, specialized research equipment, and extensive library resources. Furthermore, the partners will organize joint seminars, workshops, and international conferences, and will work together to create collaborative educational and training programs designed to nurture the next generation of scientists and engineers.
