Mr Khan’s cabinet comprises 12 ministers, three advisors

The 14-member cabinet of caretaker Chief Minister Muhammad Azam Khan has taken oath.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Haji Gulam Ali administered the oath to the interim ministers and advisors during a ceremony held here at Governor House Peshawar on Thursday.
Mr Khan’s cabinet comprises 12 ministers and three advisors.
Abdul Haleem Qasuriya, Syeed Masood Shah, Hamid Shah, Advocate Sawal Nazir, Bakht Nawaz, Fazal Elahi, Adnan Jalil, Shafiullah Khan, Haji Ghufran, Khusdil Khan Malik, Taj Muhammad Afridi, Muhammad Ali Shah, and a woman Justice retired Irshad Qaiser taken oath as ministers in the interim cabinet.
Rehmat Salam Khattak, Shakir Ullah and Himayat Ullah have been appointed as advisors. Manzoor Khan Afridi, a nominated member of the interim cabinet, could not take oath. The formation of the above-mentioned cabinet was a little delayed as the former KP-CM Mahmood Khan and other senior leaders of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) raised questions about the nominations picked by the leaders of Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) for the cabinet.
Earlier, leader of the opposition in KP Assembly Akram Khan Durrani and former CM Mahmood Khan along with Speaker Mushtaq Ghani and Pervaz Khattak nominated Muhammad Azam Khan. The nomination was reached in short but brief consensus at the speaker’s house. Governor Haji Ghulam Ali felicitated the caretaker provincial ministers and expressed good wishes for them.
Leaders of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazal (JUI-F), Awami National Party (ANP), Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Qaumi Watan Party (QWP) and others attended the oath taking ceremony.
Mayor Peshawar Haji Zubair Ali, Chief Secretary Shehzad Bangash, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Muazzam Jah Ansari, Commissioner Peshawar Riaz Mehsud and administrative heads of provincial departments were also present.
