Peshawar: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Saturday appointed Muhammad Farid Afridi, presently posted as joint Provincial Election Commissioner in Peshawar office, as Provincial Election Commissioner Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) with immediate effect. According to a notification issued by the ECP “Mr. Muhammad Farid Afridi, a BS-20 officer of the Election Commission of Pakistan, presently posted as joint Provincial Election Commissioner (Elections), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Peshawar, is transferred and posted as Provincial Election Commissioner, Peshawar in his own pay and scale with immediate effect and until further orders on administrative grounds and in the public interest.” The spokesperson of the provincial elections commission in a statement said that newly appointed provincial election commissioner Mohammad Farid Afridi has formally assumed charge of the post.
