Kohat
The 37th Board of Directors meeting of Water and Sanitation Services Company Kohat was held under the chairmanship of Chairman Board and Acting Chief Executive Officer Muhammad Saad. In which the future plans of the company, ongoing projects and issues faced were discussed in detail.
The meeting was specially attended by Deputy Commissioner Kohat Abdul Akram, Regional Municipal Officer Hamid Mansoor, Board members Rashid Ahmed Paracha, Ehsanullah Jan, Shakeel Ahmed Afridi, Local Government Azam Khan, Finance Department representative, Project Director Urban Area Development Authority Abdul Hadi and Consultant Afaq Ahmed.
The meeting reviewed the implementation of the decisions of the 36th Board meeting. The meeting decided to issue a corrigendum with some amendments to the previously issued newspaper advertisement for the post of CEO, while the new organizational chart of the institution was approved in the light of the recommendations of the reform consultant team. Under this, the appointment of heads of various departments was also ratified, which is expected to improve the management capabilities of the company.
In addition, the budget for the financial year 2024-25 was reviewed.
In addition, instructions were given to expedite the ongoing development projects in Urban Area Development Authority (UADA) Kohat, especially the construction and rehabilitation of roads. At the end of the meeting, various other important issues were also discussed, while the board members presented recommendations to make the overall performance of the company more effective.
The Chairman Board and members expressed their determination that further reforms will be introduced to modernize WSSC Kohat and provide the best water and sanitation facilities to the public.
