Member of Provincial Assembly and DEDIC Chairman Haji Abdul Muneem Khan is advocating for the recruitment of teachers in Shangla to be done at the union level. This proposal was discussed in a meeting with Education Minister Faisal Khan Tarakai and Education Secretary Masood Khan, where they emphasized the importance of addressing the critical educational needs of Shangla .
Recruitment at the union council level could potentially address the shortage of educators in the region. In fact, there are currently job openings for teachers in Shangla. Additionally, the KPK ETEA has announced teaching jobs for 2025, including positions for elementary level educators .
Chairman Abdul Muneem Khan’s proposal is a significant step towards enhancing education in Shangla. By recruiting teachers at the union level, the region can benefit from more localized and targeted hiring practices. This approach could also help address the specific educational needs of Shangla, which has been identified as a backward area with significant educational gaps .
