ISLAMABAD: National Assembly (NA) has accorded approval through a resolution to name Islamabad International Airport as Benazir International Airport. The resolution was tabled by PPP MNA Nawabzada Iftikhar Ahmad Khan in NA Thursday. It has been said in the resolution that in the opinion of this august house PTI led former government has changed the name of Benazir Airport to Islamabad airport due to bias and grudge. Our nation cannot forget the 1973 constitution and the sacrifices of Bhutto family. The name of Islamabad airport be restored in the name of Benazir Bhutto international airport without any delay so that we could pay tribute to the martyrs. No one opposed this resolution. Online
