Karachi: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) recovered a huge amount of foreign currency and valuables including gold bricks during a raid in Karachi, media reported on Tuesday. According to media report, the NAB Rawalpindi in a action in Karachi got recovered an astounding amount of foreign currency and gold bricks from the possession of ex-Korangi municipal commissioner Masroor Memon. The anti-corruption team arrested Memon along with his two accomplices: accounts officer Vikash and audit officer Dharam Veer. As per media report the raiding team recovered dollars, Darhams, Riyal, buttons and gold bricks from their possession. Besides these, the team also found Telegraphic Transfer (TT) receipts worth millions of rupees. According to the NAB, corruption was committed in the purchase deal of oil and other things. The officials used to sell tenders after taking bribes and the purchase receipts mentioned higher amount of oil than originally purchased amount of oil. Online
