Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has held an important meeting with his Qatari counterpart, Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani during his visit to Qatar. .
The two exchanged views in details on different matters of mutual interest including security.
The two interior ministers agreed on strengthening bilateral security cooperation and expanding the security partnership between the two countries. The two sides also discussed the regional situation and matters related to peace and stability
Both ministers reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening cooperation between their interior ministries and agreed to enhance collaboration in the field of internal security.
Mohsin Naqvi said Pakistan is determined to further bolstering cooperation in the areas of security and matters of mutual interest.
Minister also expressed condolences to his Qatari counterpart over the death of his father, former Emir of Qatar Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani. He paid tribute to the former emir for his valuable contributions to Qatar’s development.
The Qatari Interior Minister said Qatar attaches great importance to its relations with Pakistan and will continue working closely with Pakistan to further strengthen bilateral cooperation.
