Supreme Court (SC) has rejected the appeal plea filed against the conviction of a charas smuggler lady Imtiaz Bibi, 50.

During the hearing of the case the counsel for the accused argued the lady was implicated in the case without any reason. Sample was not taken as per law.

Justice Qazi Muhammad Amin remarked leave small issues. Tell us if there is any legal thing.

The counsel for the accused took the plea Narcotics law is stringent law. False case has been framed to implicate his client.

Justice Qazi Muhammad Amin remarked tough laws will be made if the crime is heinous. Narcotics matter is crime against the society. Judges don’t come from Mars. They come from this system. On one side you are saying case is false and on the other hand you are saying packet was not like this and that. The accused must be fair for the sake of fair trial. No one including judges is above the law.

Justice Qazi Muhammad Amin asked from counsel of the accused “ wakil Sahb what is cost of 24 kilogram heroin.

The counsel for the accused said its price is different in different countries.

Justice Qazi Muhammad Amin inquired the accused was arrested in New York or in Pakistan.

He further remarked there is responsibility of judges for the society. The narcotics cases are causing destruction. The country has been made paradise for the accused. Cases will be registered against Muharrars for showing negligence in the cases.

Additional Prosecutor Abid Majid Mirza told the court all the concessions have been given to the accused being lady.
