Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) supremo and former Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday said that nation will never forgive those who bring the two families [Sharif and Zardari] into power through conspiracy, and the US will use the incumbent government like ‘tissue paper’.
Addressing a public rally in Chak Jhumra tehsil of Faisalabad ahead of Punjab by-elections campaign, Imran Khan said that the two families had looted the country for 30 years, and soon after taking into the power, they have taken the NRO after coming into the power.
He said that the cabals of crooks – imposed through US-backed conspiracy – plundered Rs1,100 billion of public money through amendments in NAB laws as they came into power. He promised the participants of the rally that he would not let the crooks usurp the public money.
“The US wants such leadership in the country that follow its order and they brought them to the power for its own use,” Imran said.
“We want good relations with everyone including the United States but no one’s slavery is acceptable. This nation will see the looters being defeated on July 17. The United States will use them like tissue paper,” the PTI Chairman said.
Taking a dig at bigwigs of PPP and PML-N, he said that the nation will not forgive the two families who raised them through conspiracy, adding that today the country is in a bad condition and they are the responsible for all the blunders.
“We will fight for hard to win the political match of Punjab then celebrate the success, adding that the rulers came to power through conspiracy will have to face historic defeat on July 17,” Imran Khan said.
Imran Khan has claimed that his party will clean sweep in Punjab by-polls. He claimed that he will defeat Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) in by-elections like India in the cricket match.
Former Prime Minister Imran Khan directed his party workers to guard every polling station on the polling day of the by-elections in Punjab till getting the final results on Sunday.
He also vowed to defeat Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shahbaz despite the fact that the ‘umpires’. In the public meeting, Imran Khan strongly criticized the Prime Minister for his speeches about begging loans from different countries and said Pakistanis are not beggars.
He said the ruling PML-N has come to know through different surveys that PTI is going to win all 20 seats in the by-elections in Punjab so they will rig the election badly. Imran asked PM Shehbaz Sharif that the petrol price should be reduced to Rs130 per litre and diesel to Rs144 per litre as petroleum rates have been reduced in the international market.
He said this is not good to reduce just Rs18 per litre on petrol and Rs35 per litre on diesel when the prices of petroleum products have been reduced in the international market.
He contended that the government is not doing so because it fears International Monetary Fund (IMF) unlike the PTI government which did not succumb to the pressure from the global lender and kept the price of the commodity low.
Citing examples of Afghanistan and Sri Lanka, the PTI chairman said the rulers of both countries fled abroad as their wealth and assets were there as he compared Sharif and Zardari families with them.
Imran Khan said the textile industry of Faisalabad was booming only a few months earlier so much so that it created a shortage of laborers. However, he lamented that industries were shutting down now due to the government which came into power through conspiracy.
