PESHAWAR
The national-level security workshop, held in Peshawar, continued from January 11-22, 2026 was concluded. The national security workshop Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was organized under the auspices of the Pakistan Army.
Participants in the workshop included tribal elders, academia, influencers, media representatives, political leaders, youth, and other members of civil society.
According to ISPR, eighty percent of the participants belonged to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, particularly the merged districts, while 20 percent representation came from other parts of the country.
Along with 91 main participants, 150 scholars from various universities in Peshawar also took part in the workshop.
Special sessions were held for the participants with the Prime Minister of Pakistan and other senior national officeholders.
Participants were also taken on study visits to various cities across the country.
In the concluding session, a special interactive meeting was held between the participants and the Corps Commander Peshawar, during which he provided comprehensive and well-reasoned answers to participants’ questions.
The Corps Commander Peshawar engaged in detailed discussions with the participants on the national security situation, the spread of misleading propaganda, and other important issues.
The Corps Commander also distributed certificates among the workshop participants.
Participants laid floral wreaths at the Martyrs’ memorial.
The participants said that countering misleading propaganda requires both individual and collective responsibility and paid tribute to the effective counterterrorism operations and sacrifices of the Pakistan Army in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
“The Pakistan Army is actively engaged against the enemy, and we reaffirm our unwavering solidarity with our armed forces,” the participants said.
They said the Armed Forces of Pakistan have always made eternal sacrifices in the defense of the motherland and held their sacrifices in high esteem.
