Islamabad : The Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif on Monday, via phone call discussed ongoing budget session in National Assembly and opposition’s further strategy with Nawaz Sharif, his elder brother and PML-N Supremo.
Opposition leader in National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif briefed former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif about his meeting with PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto.
Shehbaz Sharif said that PPP and ANP want a combine way forward to stop budget approval. We can stop govt from practicing its will through a combine strategy inside parliament.
Sources said that Nawaz Sharif accepted opposition’s suggestion of a combine and united strategy, saying that a tough time should be given to the govt during budget session.
The PML-N Supremo termed FY2021-22 budget proposed by govt as an ‘anti-people’ budget and directed all the PML-N lawmakers to ensure their presence at NA’s budget session.
Both the leaders agreed that PDM’s politics and internal differences will never be allowed to affect opposition’s mutual consensus inside parliament, sources said.
