PESHAWAR
Amun Taraqqi Party (ATP) chairman Muhammad Faiq Shah asserted it is essential to avoid political maneuvering in upcoming general elections to save the country from further damages.
In direct reply to various queries of general masses here on Monday, Shah said national unity is vital to lead the country toward sustainable progress.
He said political maneuvering is intolerable under the prevailing circumstances.
Shah pointed out that various political groups were misleading the people with different slogans, and for the past 35 years, these parties had governed the country primarily to fill their own coffers.
He questioned whether the country had been liberated only for unrest and persistent unemployment to prevail.
Instead of spending billions on political gatherings, he emphasized it is needed to spend these money to remove poverty, hunger and starvation in the country.
This is a favourite game of rulers and politicians, being played for the last several decades, which should be eliminated, he added.
Without naming any political party, Faiq said those people who had failed to feed people how they will fill a huge ground.
The party leader made it clear that political gatherings aren’t a solution to the country’s issues.
He said people should beware about deceits, false promises and claims.
The ATP chairman warned manipulation efforts behind delay in holding elections will further bring political and economic chaos.
He pointed out that instead of continuously experimenting with the “selection” process, the ultimate decision should rest with the voters in a fair election.
The authority to choose and reject their representatives in the upcoming elections should lie solely with the people, he asserted.
Shah asked the people to eject themselves from falsehood and politics of filling ‘Minar E Pakistan’ ground with crowds.
He invited people to come forward for economic and political stability because the country’s resources relate to them and we support the people at every level.
