New oil and gas reserves have been discovered too persistently on second day in KP. Pakistan Petroleum Limited has informed stock exchange in this regard. Oil and gas reserves were discovered in district Kohat of KP a day before and the PM had congratulated the nation on it. On Friday one more reserve was discovered. More reserves are likely to be discovered within a few days. As per Friday’s development, Another promising deposit of 1,58 MMS CFD per day was also identified in the Tal Block at the Razgir-1 formation in Kohat according to letter sent by PPL to stock exchange.
Digging of 4011 meter deep well was started on August 10, 2025.
PPL has further said more gas and oil reserves are likely to be discovered at Tal block.
