An important meeting held here on Friday with the newly appointed Chief Traffic Officer Shahzada Umar Abbas in the chair, reviewed overall management of traffic in the provincial capital.
The meeting was attended by SP Headquarters Rahim Hussain, SP Cantt Inayat Ali, SP City Muhammad Saeed, DSPs, traffic officers and warden’s staff of the force. CTO Shahzada Umar Abbas on this occasion issued instructions to quarters concerned to strictly adhere to the policy of ‘Salam Kalam’ on roads. He said that traffic police in line of duty should treat road users with respect, adding negligence would not be tolerated.
He further said that City Traffic Police Peshawar personnel should keep a check and balance on the cleared area after the actions taken against encroachment so that no encroachment is established again.
Earlier, upon his arrival to Traffic Headquarters Gulbahar Umar Abbas Babar was given guard of honor.
He also visited the commemoration of the martyrs.
