DIR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Senior Minister Inayatullah Khan has Mediareciated the efforts of a non-governmental organisation which has provided facilities to 12 government schools at Barawal tehsil in Upper Dir.
Speaking at a ceremony here, he lauded the services of the “Khwendo Kor” organisation for distributing packages among poor students.
The minister said education is a key to progress and praised those working for this purpose. Inayatullah Khan announced the upgrading of the middle school Dirkhan to high-level which was a longstanding demand of 15 villages.
Barawal Tehsil Nazim Jehan Alam Khan in his speech said he had set aside a huge fund in the tehsil budget for the welfare of the poor and deserving students.
Project officer Saeedullah gave a briefing on the facilities which has been provided to students of different schools in Barawal tehsil. He said the KK had given Rs2.4 million to 12 schools at the union council Barawal Bandi under the student package, training was imparted to teachers and students as well.
