ISLAMABAD: The National Highway Authority (NHA) has denied giving access to a private housing society to the Motorway, ONLINE reported. The ‘18 TH Housing society’ had filed an application before NHA for approval of either its direct access to motorway, or access through an interchange. The housing society is built at the junction of twin cities Rawalpindi and Islamabad. NHA officials have reportedly denied the access arguing that it is only possible through an interchange, which already exists at the Peshawar Mor, Tarnol. The society has only single tiny track-like road, which will bear intense traffic pressure once the under-construction Islamabad jail is completed. ONLINE reported Sunday that investors from all over Pakistan had invested in the housing society but NHA’s denial has almost dismissed its value. ONLINE
