Islamabad: The National Highways and Motorway Police (NHMP) demonstrated remarkable performance in the areas of public service, road safety, and enforcement of law during the month of August 2026. During August 2026, more than 179,000 travellers were provided timely assistance of various kinds during their journey, while gold ornaments worth Rs. 1.6 million and valuable mobile phones worth Rs. 2.146 million were recovered and handed over to their rightful owners. To create awareness regarding road safety and traffic laws, 280 awareness programmes were organized across the country, while more than 3.036 million citizens were provided awareness regarding traffic laws and safe travelling at various toll plazas.
