Nine butchers for charging extra price in Bara

Local administration officials booked nine butchers for charging an additional price of beef in Bara Bazaar on Thursday.
On the strict directions of the Deputy Commissioner, Khyber, Additional Assistant Commissioner (AAC), Bara Aimal Khan raided various shops of edibles in the Bazaar and checked the price and quality of the food items.
Nine butchers were found guilty for selling beef at between 800 rupees per sair(approximately 1200 gram) contrary to the official rate list of 750 rupees per sair, he added.
Police officer Hameed Afridi said that all the nine violators were apprehended and directly sent to jail.
The administrative officer said that extra-restrictions had been adopted in the markets to keep prices of goods especially the edibles in control and no one would permit to fleece the believers in the Holy month of Ramazan.
Last day, the Landi Kotal administration also arrested a beef seller for charging an extra price.
