ISLAMABAD : Information Minister Chaudhry Fawad Hussain has dispelled the impression of any deadlock between government and opposition over appointment of members of election commission
Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan will solicit the opinion of leader of the opposition on this matter as per constitution, he said this in a statement issued here Tuesday.
He went on to say that a strong election commission which enjoys the confidence of all parties is in the interest of country. Imran Khan’s struggle is for the transparent system. Government wants to go ahead with open mind on the matters of electoral reforms and NAB laws.
“We want consensus is forged in parliament on big issues. The stability of political system lies in the respect of the constitution The consensus on elections, accountability and national security will lead to stabilize the political system.
