No one is going to be acquitted due to amendment in NAB laws: SC

Supreme Court (SC) has remarked no one is going to be acquitted due to amendment in NAB laws and the cases are being shifted.

The SC remarked the record of the cases which were shifted to other forums during the six months be presented.
The NAB plea in connection with cancellation of the bail of an accused in corruption case came up for hearing before SC Wednesday.

NAB gave statement corruption case of Quetta has gone out of its jurisdiction and the plea has become infructuous.

The Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Umar Ata Bandial remarked no one is going to be acquitted and on the other hand the cases are being shifted.

The CJP remarked amendments in NAB laws have been challenged in SC. The court has yet to decide in this respect.
The CJP ordered the record of last six months be presented regarding the NAB cases which have been sent to other forums.

The CJP while expressing annoyance inquired from NAB authorities NAB is doing what regarding the cases which are being returned from courts due to amendment in NAB laws.

NAB replied a review committee has been constituted in respect of the cases which have been returned by the accountability courts . The committee is sending the cases to respective forums.

The court ordered NAB to present the record of the cases which were sent to other forums during the last 6 months. Bring the record about which cases were sent to what forums .

The court adjourned the hearing of the case.
