PESHAWAR: Special Assistant to the Chief Minister for Information and Public Relations Shafi Jan on Thursday strongly refuted claims made by PML-N’s Uzma Bukhari, calling them “lies, politically motivated, and contrary to facts.” Shafi Jan clarified that no remarks were made by former Prime Minister’s son Qasim Khan against Pakistan’s GSP Plus status, and accused the leadership of PML-N and “fake Punjab government” of trying to mislead the nation. In a statement, he said dragging former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s sons into political accusations reflects the “confusion and incompetence” of the federal government. He said attempts to politicize private phone conversations between Imran Khan and his sons on occasions like Eid were unjustified and infringe on their constitutional rights. Mr Jan also highlighted the government’s failure to address rising inflation, unemployment, and governance issues, warning that “the days of this corrupt group imposed on the federation are numbered.” DLP Report
