District Health Officer (DHO) Astore, Khursheed Ahmed here Monday clarified that there was no shortage of medicines in basic health units and sufficient stock was available to cater patients’ needs in the district.
The DHO said this during his visit to A Class dispensary at Chillum area and inspected stock of medicines and other health facilities there .
He also visited Gudai BHU and met with patients there and expressed satisfaction over health service delivery and attendance of medical staff.
“We will utilize all available resources to facilitate people,” he said, adding there is no shortage of medicines in dispensaries and enough medicines stock were supplied to all dispensaries to help needy patients.
The DHO instructed the medical staff to help and serve the poor people of these areas with best of their abilities and professional commitment.
He warned of taking strict disciplinary action against official found guilty of negligence of duties and willful absent.
