KP Chief Minister ( CM) Sohail Afridi has said that allowing him not to meet his Quaid Imran Khan is highly sorrowful and shameful.
He said this while talking to PTI central information secretary Shaukat Yusufzai in KP House Islamabad.
He said “ I am elected CM of four and half crore people of the province. But I am made to wait on road outside Adiala jail for several hours.
The entire nation is worried about the health of Imran Khan. The nation wants to know how his health is at present.
Not allowing any one including his family to meet Imran Khan is not only inhuman treatment but also is blatant violation of human rights.
He held the country is not being run by the incumbent government. Democracy and constitution have been rendered helpless. All the institutions including judiciary are paralyzed.
Federation is depriving the province of development by not paying its outstanding arrears.
We will continue peaceful political struggle for restoration of democracy and constitution in the country.
Shaukat Yusufzai said government is scared of people. Keeping Imran Khan in solitary confinement is not only against the jail manual but also a grave violation of human rights.
Government should clarify why the news of ailment of Imran Khan and his treatment by bringing him to PIMS in dark of night was kept confident. Why the information in advance was not given to the family of Imran Khan.
Both the leaders exchanged views on PTI February 8 peaceful protest, government attitude in the health matters of Imran Khan and national and provincial affairs.
