The government announced to increase prices of petroleum products by up to Rs5 per litre for the next 16 days.
According to a notification of Finance Division, new price of petrol will be Rs103.69 per litre, high speed diesel Rs108.44 per litre, kerosine oil Rs70.29 per litre and light diesel oil at Rs67.86 per litre.
The per litre price of petrol and high speed diesel has been increased by Rs3 each while the price of kerosene oil has been increased by Rs5 per litre. The lowest surge was noted in low-speed diesel with Rs2 as it will be sold at Rs67.86 per litre across Pakistan.
It may be noted that these new prices will be applicable from December 16 onwards and will remain the same for the rest of the year, after which the committee will work out fuel pricing again. TLTP
