One more dengue fever patient dies in KP

One more patient of dengue fever died during the last 24 hours taking the death tally to eight in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. According to the health department’s’ daily situation report’, the deceased was a resident of KP’s Mansehra district. The report stated that 415 people were tested positive for dengue virus during the same period of time taking the tally to 8485 in the province. The province so far reported eight deaths from dengue fever. A total of 415 patients have been tested positive for dengue in the province and majority cases 240 reported from Peshawar.
Health department report revealed that during the last 24 hours 42 new patients have been hospitalized in the province, a total of 100 dengue fever patients were undergoing treatment at different hospitals of the province.
It added that 165 people have been hospitalized in Charsadda district, 140 in Mardan, 374 in Nowshera, 127 in Peshawar and 49 in Swabi districts
Meanwhile, as many as 10 patients have been confirmed from Bannu, 34 from Haripur, 53 from Mardan, 240 from Peshawar, 23 from Swabi and 17 from Nowshera district during the last 24 hours.
District Mardan and Peshawar remain to continue hotspots of the mosquito-borne diseases in the province where collectively 5,061 patients suffered from the dengue virus.

The health department KP confirmed that so far a total of 6757 patients have been recovered from the dengue fever in different districts while eight deaths have been reported from the disease.

It added that during the same period of time laboratories confirmed a total of 415 cases taking the tally of confirmed cases jumped to 8485 in the province. The number of active cases from the infection in KP was 1720 on Friday.
