Opposition files no confidence motion against PM

Opposition claims to have support of 202 NA lawmakers
ISLAMABAD
Opposition has submitted no confidence motion bearing signatures of over 100 members against the Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan in National Assembly (Na) besides submitting requisition to NA.
The opposition parties filed the no confidence motion and requisition following the meeting of their respective parliamentary parties.
Former speaker NA Ayyaz Sadiq, Rana Sana Ullah, Khawaja Asif, Saad Rafiq, Maryam Aurangzeb, Shazia Marri, Navid Qamar, Shahid Akhtar Ali and others submitted the no trust motion and requisition.
The no confidence motion said PM Imran Khan has lost mandate and confidence of this house and people. Therefore, opposition filed no confidence motion against him.
Maryam Aurangzeb said over 100 MNAs have signed the no confidence motion. It is binding on the NA speaker to summon NA session within 14 days. This motion has been filed under article 95 of the constitution. It will be put to debate in NA. Later voting will be held on this motion.
Opposition leaders have claimed 172 members are needed for approval of this motion and they are having members ranging between 190 to 200. Several members of ruling party are with them. Therefore the motion will succeed. We have filed resolution in connection with this motion. As soon as this resolution is approved Imran Khan will lose his slot and new PM will be elected.
Earlier PML-N parliamentary party meeting was held under Shahbaz Sharif. The no confidence motion and requisition move were got signed from the members. The members were directed to stay in Islamabad.
Later JUI-F parliamentary party meeting took place under Maulana Fazlur Rehman. JUI-F members expressed satisfaction over the cooperation extended by opposition parties in connection with success of No confidence motion. The members were directed not to leave Islamabad as NA can be summoned at any time. Members should stay ready for it.
They should not meet any ruling party minister or advisor.
