PESHAWAR
Leaders of various political parties from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) strongly condemned suicide bomb attack on Friday prayers in a Jamia Mosque of Shia-Community in Qisa-Khwani Bazar area of Peshawar.
At least 30 worshipers have lost their lives and more than 80 have been injured in the attack.
In different statements issued here on Friday, they jointly described the gory incident as a conspiracy against the peace in the province and country.
Awami National Party (ANP) Aimal Wali Khan extended his condolences to the bereaved families and prayed for early recovery of the injured.
He asked the government to provide proper medical facilities to the injured.
The provincial Ameer of Jamaat-e- Islami (JI) Senator Mustaq Ahmad Khan in a statement also condemned the attack and said that it was aimed at spoiling the peaceful environment of the provincial capital and whole province.
Senator Mustaq Ahmad Khan urged the government to beef up security of all Jamia Mosque of the Shia-Community in the province and other places in Peshawar.
Criticizing the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) government, Aimal Wali Khan alleged that the rulers have turned deaf ears towards terrorists’ reorganization across the country.
He said that the rulers were least bothered to take steps for providing relief to the common man.
In a separate statement, the provincial president of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) Ameer Muqam also condemned the terrorist attack on the mosque and asked the provincial government to take prompt steps for provision of quality medical treatment to the injured people.
Haji Ghulam Ali, a member of the Central Council of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F), termed the Kocha Risaldar blast as inhumane and strongly condemned.
He said that the government should take practical steps to control the deteriorating law and order situation.
Expressing heartfelt sympathy and solidarity with the families of those killed and injured in the Kocha Risaldar tragedy, he prayed for the elevation of the ranks of the deceased and speedy recovery of the injured.
Gulam Ali also demanded that the provincial government should also take necessary steps to provide full financial assistance to the families of the deceased.
Similarly, Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) provincial president Najumdin Khan also condemned the terrorist attack in Kocha-Risaldar Jamia Mosque.
He said that the government should take immediate steps to uproot the menace of terrorism once and for all.
