ISLAMABAD
Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhary said Sunday vote of no confidence against government cannot be made successful through ‘conspiracies’ and ‘pleadings’.
Talking to media in Mandi Bahauddin on Sunday, Fawad Chaudhry claimed Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) cannot bring even fifteen persons on roads for protest. The opposition wants to do politics by using children of seminaries, he added.
Criticizing the opposition, the Minister said that both PPP and PML-N have been restricted to a few districts of Punjab. PML-N leadership including former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Mayram Nawaz are convicted persons.
He said that no journalist will be unemployed as earning of media groups has shown an increase of forty percent. The Minister said that no pressure can be put on cable operators to run any channel.
On the other hand, the Federal Minister called on National Assembly (NA) Speaker Asad Qaiser to discuss overall political situation of country and the coming all-important National Assembly’s session.
It is pertinent to mention here that opposition parties are planning a no-confidence motion against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) led government.
Fawad Chaudhry, while talking to the speaker said that government will give a ‘constitutional reply’ to opposition’s no-confidence motion. Opposition will never achieve its goal through this move, he added.
Fawad Chaudhry said that all government allies were backing the government and they have expressed sole trust in PTI’s leadership. Opposition’s alliance is suffering splits itself and government has the capacity to nullify the motion for no confidence, he concluded.
