Osmania Girls College Clinched Sindh Colleges Games Hockey Title

H.I Osmania Degree Girls College won the title of Girls Hockey held in District Central in connection with the 4th Sindh Colleges Games. In the final, Government College defeated North Nazimabad Block, M by one goal in a thrilling match. Regional Director College Education Karachi, Karachi Region Prof. Hafiz Abdul Bari Indhar distributed prizes along with Olympian Islahuddin.
According to the details, the final of District Central Girls Hockey was played between Olympian Islahuddin and Dr. Muhammad Ali Shah Hockey Academy North Nazimabad which was very interesting and thrilling. The match between the two teams remained equal for 56 minutes. Iqra Iqbal, the center half of H.I Osmania College, scored a beautiful goal on captain Saima’s pass to give her team a one-goal lead which was maintained till the end of the match.
This is the third title of H.I Osmania College after badminton and volleyball in the eight competitions of Sindh Colleges Games held in Central District. On this occasion Chief guest Abdul Bari Indhar and Olympian Islahuddin were introduced to the players.
Prof.Abdul Bari said that District Central is the heart of Karachi and there is nothing more precious than heart. Competitions are being organized in the most organized manner in District Central as compared to other districts in Karachi, on which the organizing committee deserves congratulations. He also praised the enthusiasm of the spectators.
Olympian Islahuddin Siddiqui said that educational institutions are the nursery of sports. If you want to win the world title in sports then you have to strengthen your foundation. Today’s match was very good and exciting If these girls continue to play with them, I am sure that these players will succeed in making a place in the national women’s hockey team.
Later, Islahuddin Siddiqui also presented a book based on his life titled “Dash in My Life” to the special guest.Prizes were distributed among the teams at the end. Central District Competition Organizing Committee members Batool Kazim, Sanobar Kazmi, Wasim Majid, Tariq Abrar and others were also present at the closing ceremony.
