PESHAWAR
Special Assistant to the Chief Minister for Science & Information Technology Dr. Shafqat Ayaz has said that the youth were the real asset of the province and equipping them with employment opportunities, skills, and access to modern technology was the foremost priority of the government, a handout said.
Dr. Shafqat Ayaz stated that currently more than 26 projects are underway under the Department of Science & Technology and IT, aimed at preparing the youth according to the demands of the modern era and creating new avenues of employment. Through these initiatives, the youth of the province will not only find opportunities within the country but also abroad in jobs and entrepreneurship.
He said that some of the key projects launched by the provincial government include “Dastak App,” “Khyber Pass Digital Identity System,” “Paymir Project,” “Mahasil,” “E-Basta,” “Science & IT Parks,” and “Citizens Facilitation Centers (CFCs).” All these projects are designed to provide public convenience, ensure easy access to government services, and integrate youth into the digital economy.
Dr. Shafqat Ayaz added that modern digital training centers are being established where youth will be trained in IT, freelancing, e-commerce, and innovation. These projects will enable thousands of young people to enter the practical field, utilize their skills, and contribute to strengthening the country’s economy.
He further said that PTI Founder Imran Khan’s vision is of a self-reliant Pakistan where youth progress on the basis of their abilities independently. Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is also striving to provide every possible facility to the youth in line with this vision.
Dr. Shafqat Ayaz expressed confidence that these initiatives in the field of Science & Technology will transform KP into a hub of the digital economy in the coming years.
