Senate Elections 2025
PESHAWAR: In preparation for the upcoming Senate Elections 2025, the Provincial Election Commissioner of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, along with his delegation, met with Speaker of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, Babar Saleem Swati, at the Speaker’s Chamber on Monday. The meeting focused on key aspects of the electoral process, including adherence to the election code of conduct, administrative arrangements, and measures to ensure transparency. Leader of the Opposition in the KP Assembly, Dr. Ibadullah, was also in attendance, along with officials from the Assembly Secretariat. During the discussion, the Election Commission delegation sought the KP Assembly’s full cooperation to facilitate the smooth and peaceful conduct of the Senate polls. They stressed the importance of ensuring that the elections are held in accordance with the Constitution, relevant laws, and the prescribed code of conduct. Speaker Swati assured the delegation of the Assembly’s complete support, emphasizing that all necessary arrangements would be made to ensure a fair, transparent, and dignified electoral process.
