RAWALPINDI: Third meeting of the Board of Management of Punjab Arts Council was held under the chairmanship of President Board Sakib Rafik. Secretary Board Waqar Ahmed and members Asma Butt, Muhammad Azim Iqbal, Babar Niazi, and Muhammad Aslam Mughal participated in the meeting. President Board Sakib Rafik said that the land of Punjab is extremely fertile in terms of literature and culture. Punjab is an ancient cultural center and a province rich in folk heritage. The board is fully active for the promotion of art and culture. In the proceedings of the meeting, the President Board and all the members agreed to write a letter to the Executive Director Punjab Arts Council to include the name of former resident director Punjab Arts Council Naheed Manzoor in the board. The meeting participants said the food and culture festival was postponed till April due to PSL matches. It has also been agreed to hire staff for the audio video studio, release funds for cultural activities and create a craft bazar to increase the income of the Arts Council.
