Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) increased household consumers gas bills upto 500%.
400Pkr gas bill of summer increased to 3000pkr.
Despite less consumption of gas in summer at least 2000pkr other than taxes has been added to gas bills on the name of adjustment.
Despite clear direction of Public Accounts Committee (PAC) overpayments are ongoing from household consumers of gas.
SNGPL started taking 500% extra payments from consumer in bills and also added 2000pkr on the name of adjustment.
SNGPL has added fixed charges of 475pkr, general sales tax Pkr161 and 2000 to 2500 on the name of adjustment and correction added in bills of 400 gas price and haven’t issued any explanation in which regard they are taking this money from consumers.
Keep clear that secretary petroleum told PAC that now household consumer will pay winter’s bills in summer and some amount will be added in their bills on which committee raised strict objections and said how they will receive bills of the gas that consumer has not consumed yet.
Committee strictly barred petroleum ministry from receiving any kind of extra charges from household consumers however including ministry, gas companies ignored directions of PAC and started taking atleast 2000Pkr from each household consumer.
