PESHAWAR
In an effort to empower youth, the Pakistan Army on Monday established a Digital Skills Centre at the rural Peshawar’s Hasankhel area.
The centre was opened in the Government High School Shamshato to equip the young generation with modern digital skills and empower them through various programs and courses, said a statement.
It said that the aim of the Digital Skills centre is to increase the co-digital economy and digital workforce of the youth of the rural Peshawar. Currently more than sixty students are receiving training in various courses in the center.
A state-of-the-art computer lab will also be established in the centre and its scope in the near future will be expanded phase two to equip women with the latest skills.
To empower the youth, especially the women, the Pakistan Army will use all resources in collaboration with the provincial government, it added. The local community, elders especially youth of the rural Peshawar appreciated the efforts of the Pakistan Army for the young generation.
