Pakistan, India exchange list of nuclear installations, prisoners

Pakistan and India have exchanged list of nuclear installations and prisoners.
According to Foreign Office (FO) spokesperson annual exchange of lists of nuclear installations, facilities and prisoners has taken place between Pakistan and India.
The exchange was made in accordance with the Article-II of the Agreement on Prohibition of Attacks against Nuclear Installations and Facilities between Pakistan and India, signed on December 31, 1988, and ratified on January 27, 1991
A list of Pakistan nuclear installations and facilities was officially handed over to Indian high commission in Pakistan while the Indian Ministry of External Affairs in New Delhi handed over their list of nuclear installations and facilities to the representative of Pakistan high commission in India.
The spokesperson said the two countries inform each other about nuclear installations and facilities on January 01 every year in keeping with an agreement.
Government of Pakistan handed over a list of 628 Indian national prisoners detained in Pakistani jails to Indian High commission authorities. The Indian prisoners include 51 citizens and 577 fishermen.
According to the list handed over by India to Pakistan, 355 Pakistan nationals including 282 citizens and 73 fishermen are detained in Indian jails.
The FO spokesperson said the details of prisoners were exchanged between Pakistan and India under May 21, 2008 agreement on access to consular.
In line with this agreement both the countries have to exchange list of prisoners twice in a year.
