ISLAMABAD
Pakistan and Iran have agreed on activating Joint Transport Committee (JTC).
As per media report, a delegation level meeting was held between Iranian transport minister Farzaneh Sadegh and federal communication minister Abdul Aleem Khan here.
Railway minister Hanif Abbasi, trade minister Jam Kamal and minister for Maritime Affairs Junaid Anwar also attended the meeting .
Communication Minister Abdul Aleem Khan said the fortification of land connectivity between the two countries will further help expand trade links. Transport related problems between Pakistan and Iran will be resolved immediately.
Iranian Minister Farzana Sadiq thanked Pakistan for its positive role in halting war and in peace agreement.
The matter related to clearance of trucks and cargo containers at border crossing between two countries was also discussed.
The two sides agreed on taking joint steps for resolution of outstanding problems along Pak-Iran border.
