Pakistan Post is pleased to announce the issuance of a Commemorative Postage Stamp on 15 June 2026 to mark the 50th Anniversary (Golden Jubilee) of the Alpine Club of Pakistan (ACP), in recognition of its outstanding contribution to the promotion of mountaineering, adventure sports, environmental stewardship, and mountain tourism in Pakistan.
Founded in 1976, the Alpine Club of Pakistan has played a pioneering role in developing and promoting mountaineering and trekking activities across the country’s spectacular mountain regions. Over the past five decades, the Club has facilitated national and international expeditions, encouraged youth participation in adventure sports, fostered environmental awareness, and contributed significantly to showcasing Pakistan as one of the world’s premier destinations for mountaineering and high-altitude tourism.
To commemorate this historic milestone, Pakistan Post will issue a special philatelic package comprising:

The commemorative stamp pays tribute to the remarkable journey of the Alpine Club of Pakistan and celebrates the country’s rich mountain heritage, including some of the world’s highest and most majestic peaks that have attracted climbers and adventurers from around the globe.
Speaking on the occasion, a spokesperson for Pakistan Post stated:
“The Golden Jubilee of the Alpine Club of Pakistan is a significant milestone that reflects fifty years of dedication to promoting mountaineering, adventure, and appreciation of Pakistan’s extraordinary natural landscapes. Through this commemorative postage stamp, Pakistan Post honors the contributions of the Club and all those who have worked to advance mountain sports, environmental conservation, and tourism in Pakistan.”
The issuance also recognizes the efforts of mountaineers, guides, volunteers, and outdoor enthusiasts whose passion and commitment have helped strengthen Pakistan’s reputation within the international mountaineering community.
The commemorative stamp and associated philatelic materials will be available from designated post offices and philatelic bureaus across the country from 15 June 2026. Collectors, philatelists, mountaineers, tourism professionals, and members of the public are invited to acquire this special issue and join in celebrating the Golden Jubilee of the Alpine Club of Pakistan.
