Islamabad: The government’s measures and claims against corruption have died down, Corruption has increased in the country to a great extent. According to a report released by Transparency International (TI), Pakistan’s situation has worsened in the global ranking of corruption. Instead of improving the global ranking of corruption, Pakistan went downhill. Contrary to government claims, corruption has increased rather than decreased, Transparency International said. Transparency International has released the CPI Index Report 2021 on corruption, according to which corruption has increased in Pakistan. Pakistan’s rank has fallen 16 places to 140 from 124 out of 180 countries, Transparency International’s report showed Tuesday. In CPI 2021, Pakistan scored 28 out of 100.
