Foreign Office (FO) has said Pakistan welcomes US-Iran talks. Responding to various questions during his weekly press briefing in Foreign office (FO) here Thursday FO spokesperson Tahir Andrabi said Mastermind of Daesh including TTP is present in Afghanistan.
According to UN report Daesh mastermind present in Afghanistan cooperates in activities against Pakistan.
Why Daesh is committing terrorism in Pakistan, this should be asked from Daesh.
He said we had earlier praised peace role by US during 90 hours war with India. Pakistan shot down Indian’s war planes. The planes manufacturing companies confirmed the reports of shooting down these planes.
He said severe response will be given to Indian aggression in future.
Replying to a question the spokesperson said we saw Indian foreign ministry statement in Islamabad blast. Internationally acknowledged Pakistan and Indian map is available on UN website.
To another question the spokesperson said Pakistan welcomes US-Iran talks in Oman. We welcome positive response from Iranian foreign minister. Earlier these talks were to be held at large scale in Istanbul. Invitation was given to Pakistan for participation in this regard. Later spectrum of US-Iran talks was narrowed down. Tahir Hussain Andrabi stated that Pakistan’s Indus Water Commissioner has written to his Indian counterpart, seeking complete information about the new dam project. He emphasized that under the Indus Waters Treaty, Pakistan has the right to obtain all relevant details.
“We urge India to adhere to the Indus Waters Treaty,” Andrabi said, adding that Pakistan wants to resolve all outstanding matters peacefully but will not compromise on the water rights of its people.
The spokesperson highlighted recent diplomatic engagements, including the visit of Uzbekistan’s president to Pakistan, during which both sides agreed to enhance bilateral trade to $2 billion and expand the preferential trade agreement.
He also noted the visit of Kazakhstan’s president, where discussions covered security, defense cooperation, and joint military exercises.
To a question he said we confirm defence minister Khawaja Asif statement is detailed one. Diplomacy continues in war and skirmishes.
We don’t want use of Afghan soil against Pakistan.
Iranian decision on recognition of Afghanistan is not known. However this is its own decision of any country either it recognizes any country or otherwise.
Andrabi further stated that the prime minister will attend an upcoming Board of Peace meeting, accompanied by the foreign minister and a high-level delegation. Pakistan has joined the board with positive expectations, he said.
To a question he said the matter on roll over of loan by UAE was raised. We assure UAE agreed on roll over loan due to positive efforts of Ishaq Dar.
