Pakistan Women’s Lacrosse Team Reaches Final of Japan Open Lacrosse Championship

Pakistan Women’s Lacrosse Performance Development Team has qualified for the final of the ongoing Open Lacrosse Championship in Okinawa, Japan. The national team defeated host team Keio University 14-11 in the first semi-final. In which Sara of the PLF team won the best player of the match award with 5 goals.
Yasmin 2, Gul Pari, Muqaddas Akiba, and Momina also played an important role, each scoring 1 goal. The final will be played today. Teams from 35 countries are participating in the Okinawa Open Lacrosse Championship from 15 to 18 February 2025, in collaboration with the Japan Lacrosse Association and FOGO Japan.
The PLF Performance Development Team has recently received training from FOGO Japan and the Japan Lacrosse Association (JLA), the impact of which is clearly visible in their performance. As they step into the next phase, all eyes will be on this dynamic team that is determined to win the gold medal in the championship.
Head Coach Mr. Nisar Ahmed expressed optimism about the team’s future matches and said, “The team has shown excellent resilience and teamwork. We are confident that we can win the gold medal.
