ISLAMABAD: Parliamentarians have received their salary at enhanced rate following the approval by government. No increase was made in the salaries of speaker and deputy speaker of Natioal Assembly (NA) According to parliamentary sources federal government has increased the salary of parliamentarians. Salary of speaker and deputy speaker was not enhanced. Salary of Members of NA and Senate has risen to Rs 519000 which has been transferred to bank accounts of each parliamentarian. The enhancement in pay has been implemented from January 2025. According to speaker NA, Finance committee cannot increase salary of speaker and deputy speaker NA because finance committee is headed by speaker NA. Online
