Karachi: Reacting to developments made in recent joint-session of parliament, Sindh minister for information and works Saeed Ghani on Friday said that government achieved its target by ‘betraying masses’. Talking to media outside Sindh Assembly, Saeed Ghani said that constitutional lacunas in recent legislation will haunt Pakistan’s democracy. Members of PTI and allies voted in favor of a bill that would grant ‘NRO’ to Indian spy, he added. Saeed Ghani said that government was trying to bulldoze the domain of provincial government to fulfill its agenda. “Officers to the rank of DIG Police have been transferred in Sindh without consulting Chief Minister. This is clear interference in provincial government’s domain” he added. Provincial minister said that constitution was ‘torn into pieces’ during recent joint-session of parliament and legislation was done in just a few minutes. Online
