Parvez Elahi says no one will be allowed parliamentary traditions to be trampled

Speaker Punjab Assembly Ch Parvez Elahi on Saturday said people have given five-year mandate to the government will not allow parliamentary traditions to be trampled
Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjarani along with a delegation called on Pakistan Muslim League (PML) President and former Prime Minister Chaudhry Shujat Hussain and Speaker Punjab Assembly Chaudhry Parvez Elahi at their residence in Lahore.
The current political situation in the country, ongoing development projects in Balochistan and issues of mutual interest were discussed on the occasion. The Chairman Senate and members of the delegation inquired about the well-being of Ch Shujat Hussain.
Ch Parvez Elahi said that people have given five years mandate to the government and we will not allow parliamentary traditions to be trampled. He said that every democratic government has the right to be allowed to complete the period given for public service, elections look good on time.
He said that the consultation process and meetings continue which is part of the political process, the decision will be taken after consultation with our parliamentary party. In the current political situation, national interest is supreme, we have a keen eye on the changing political climate; we want practical steps to be taken to provide immediate relief to the people.
On this occasion, Sadiq Sanjarani said that Ch Shujat Hussain is a seasoned politician, he has a keen eye on the situation, we strongly hope that he will find a way out in the current situation.
