PESHAWAR: As the by-elections in the province get closer on a few National Assembly seats, the leaders of Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chapter held a rally in Peshawar on Friday to mobilize their party’s workers and supporters. The rally was led by Awami National Party (ANP) leader and candidate for NA-31 Peshawar, Jamiat-e-Ulema Islama spokesperson Abdul Jalil Jan and other leaders of the PDM. A large number of party workers belonging to different political parties participated in the rally. Addressing the rally, ANP senior leader and former Chief Minister KP Amir Haider Khan Hoti said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has lost its presence and popularity in the province and would face a historic defeat in upcoming by-elections in KP. He announced that a PDM would hold a big public meeting on October 11 to show solidarity with its party candidate contesting by-elections against PTI chairman Imran Khan. DLP Report
