Governor of Punjab Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar has said that peace and stability in Pakistan is not tolerable for the enemies of the country, but we will unite and thwart their evil plots. If you can’t do justice to your position then these positions are useless. We are all indebted to this great nation of Pakistan; everyone has to follow the principles of truth, character and patriotism.
History remembers those who serve humanity, not those with big fortunes. He was addressing the convocation of University of Lahore and talking to media on Friday while Chairman Board of Governors University of Lahore Owais Rauf, Deputy Chairman Aziz Rauf, Prof Dr Muhammad Ashraf and others were also present on the occasion.
The Governor also awarded gold medals to 450 students and silver medals to 227 students and also congratulated the successful students and their teachers.
Talking to media, the Governor said that the present government under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan is pursuing a policy of making Pakistan prosper, strong and peaceful as per the vision of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Allama Iqbal.
Unfortunately this development, peace and stability of Pakistan is not being tolerated by some hostile forces and they want to destabilize Pakistan through terrorism but 22 crore Pakistanis stand with the government and Armed forces against terrorists.
Pakistan will get rid of terrorists and their facilitators. He said that as Chancellor, I have appointed all the vice chancellors on merit. We are also freeing all the institutions including universities from political interference because If there is political interference in the institutions, it will definitely cause irreparable damage to the institutions.
We have to strengthen and consolidate the institutions in Pakistan for which all resources will be utilized.
Addressing the function, Chaudhry Sarwar said that the developed societies have achieved greatness on strong educational, technical and moral grounds, I believe that a good life is that in which you hold the hand of the helpless, weak and needy. I want you to follow the principles of truth, character, love and patriotism. Pakistan belongs to all of us. We all have to play our part in serving humanity and strengthening the nation.
Governor Punjab said that the students who have acquired knowledge and skills in various fields are the leaders of the nation and their academic achievements demand that they should play their full role in the development of the beloved homeland and in every field, wherever you go, do justice with your positions and when you do justice with your positions no power of the world will be able to stop you from moving forward in life.
