ISLAMABAD : PML-N leader Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has said that the every work for which the Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan says he will monitor stands ruined.
“ PM said he will monitor the prices of the commodities during the holy month of Ramadan. On the other hand the worst inflation was recorded in the month of April. PM visited the weekly bazaars. The commodities were lying therein but no purchaser was available therein, he said this while talking to media men here Tuesday.
People are being held accountable in the country, he said adding the electricity tariff has gone up 200 percent in the last there years. The flour price had not doubled within 3 years in the 73 years history of the country, he remarked. PM should constitute commission to probe into how the flour price doubled.
He held sugar mafia exported sugar which led to create crisis, he said adding PM Sahb what action was taken by you to reduce the prices of sugar, he inquired.
He underlined what cases have been instituted against Jahangir Tareen have nothing to do with sugar.
He observed PDM is narrative now. Shahbaz Sharif has neither set up PDM nor has he dissolved it.
He stated that Police have become a party in Karachi. Therefore, Miftah Ismail had said the army should monitor the electoral process. He should have mentioned Rangers instead of army.
He underscored electronic voting machine is not solution to the problems. This will compound the problems. The paper system should be strengthened. Those who cannot run paper system they cannot run electronic system.
He remarked the country does not need electoral reforms. The country should be run in accordance with the constitution. Shun rigging in the election. Shun registering false cases. Introducing electronic voting machine is not mandate of government and parliament. It is mandate of EC rather than circus actors of government, he held.
The corona cases are on rise in the country and vaccine availability is limited, he pointed out. Government should place order for 100 million vaccine. Nothing is done due to the NCOC meeting. Has NCOC made the people to wear mask.
