The Peshawar District Bar signed a memorandum of understanding with the Federal Ombudsman Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Commissioner.
The MoU aims to provide free legal assistance to the Federal Ombudsman Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chapter in cases of gender-based violence and domestic violence, as well as to conduct seminars and training to train lawyers on special laws.
The MoU signing ceremony was held at Peshawar District Bar Office in which Commissioner Federal Ombudsman KP Chapter Rabab Mehdi, Registrar Federal Ombudsman Zia-ur-Rehman and District Bar President Amjad Ali Marwat Advocate, Vice President Iftikhar Hussain Samandar, General Secretary Mian Hikmat Allah Jan, Saad Al Mabood Khattak, Abdul Wahab Arbab Muhammad Wali Advocate participated.
According to District Bar Peshawar, the MoU is aimed at providing free legal assistance to the Federal Ombudsman Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chapter in cases of gender-based violence and domestic violence, while training lawyers on special laws regarding gender-based violence and domestic violence cases. Under the MoU, Peshawar District Bar will refer harassment cases to federal agencies.
