Peshawar Regional Inter-Schools Cricket Tournament enters final stage

Teams from Khyber District and Mohmand District have qualified for the final of Peshawar Region Inter-Schools cricket tournament Tournament. In first semi final Mohmand defeated Government Higher Secondary School Chamkani Peshawar by fourteen runs.
Islamia High School Mohmand batted first and acored 123 runs.
In response Government Higher Secondary School Chamkani scored 109 runs. In the second semi-final, New Muslim Public Charsadda scored 77 runs while playing first.
AD Sports Zakirullah, Regional Sports Officer Kashif Farhan, DSO Faisal Javed, DSO Zakirullah, Supervisor Yusuf Khan and other personalities were present.
Talking to the media, Kashif Farhan said that under the leadership of DG Sports Abdul Nasir and under the supervision of Provincial Sports Minister Syed Fakhar Jahan, efforts are being made to promote sports at the grass root level and this tournament is part in this regard, he said that the winner team of region will represent their region in the inter-regional schools tournament commencing from November 21.

In response Islamia Model School and College Khyber chased the target by two wickets and qualified for the final. On this occasion, Deputy Director Sports Mir Bashar was the chief guest.
