Rawalpindi: Lahore High Court (LHC) Rawalpindi bench justice Anwar ul Haq approved petition against re-detention of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shehyar Afridi and 57 others after bail from Rawalpindi. Justice Anwar Ul Haq declared detention of Shehyar Afridi and 57 others null and void. Court directed 57 workers to submit affidavit to Deputy Commissioner (DC) office within three days. Court also made DC Rawalpindi bound to not issue 3-MPO order against anyone without contacting court. Court remarked during hearing that court do not want to issue any order that create more grumpiness. Yesterday during hearing on petition Sher Afzal Marwat and Rizwan Akhtar Advocate from Shehyar Afridi were present in the court when DC appeared in court on summoning. Shehyar Afridi’s lawyer opinionated in court that Shehyar Afridid and his brother Farukh Jamal Afridi were handed over to unknown people and Jail administration and police is not telling anything about Shehyar Afridi and his brother. On that Court summon Jail Superintendent in one hour and on that occasion district administration’s lawyer told court that Shehyar Afridi’s detention has been cancelled as Anti-Terrorist Court Rawalpindi had discharged Shehyar Afridi from case of inciting and provoking people from violence and arson yesterday but police on DC’s orders under 3-MPO were sent to Adiala Jail for 15 days.
